Siemens pre-assembled MOTION-CONNECT cables (power, signal and DRIVE-CLiQ) use one base part number per cable type, with the last four characters encoding the length. On our store we list each cable once by its base number — use this guide to pick your length and send us the complete part number (or just tell us the length you need).
How the length code works
A full part number looks like 6FX5002-5CS01-1BA0 — the highlighted block is the length code:
- The second character gives the tens of metres: A = 0, B = 10, C = 20, D = 30, E = 40, F = 50
- The third character gives the single metres: A = 0, B = 1, C = 2, D = 3, E = 4, F = 5, G = 6, H = 7, J = 8, K = 9 (the letter I is skipped)

Example: you need a 25 m version of power cable 6FX5002-5CS01 → the full part number is 6FX5002-5CS01-1CF0. Intermediate lengths (e.g. 12 m = 1BC0) follow the same letter logic and are usually available to order.
Which cable family do I have?
- 6FX2002-… — standard cables for fixed installation
- 6FX5002-… — MOTION-CONNECT 500: fixed installation / limited movement
- 6FX8002-… — MOTION-CONNECT 800PLUS: high-flex, rated for drag chains / continuous movement
The middle block (e.g. -5CS01, -2DC10, -1DC10) identifies the cable type — motor power, DRIVE-CLiQ signal, brake cores, cross-section — and is printed on the cable jacket and the connector label of your old cable.
