This guide explains how to replace a 10-inch CRT monitor with an LCD monitor on a Haas pendant. It applies to LCD monitors with and without a plastic bezel.
Removal
- Push [POWER OFF].
- Remove the rear cover of the pendant.
- Remove the notepad bracket and other brackets attached to the side of the pendant.
- Disconnect the CRT power cable and data cable.
- Remove the monitor.
Installation
1. Mount the LCD
For monitors without a bezel:
- Install the screws and the 1" standoffs to the LCD monitor and monitor housing.
For monitors with a bezel:

- Install the screws and the 3/8" standoffs to the LCD monitor and monitor housing.
- Clean the included bezel glass.
- Install the foam gasket, the bezel glass, and the masking mat into the rear side of the bezel.
- Use the flat push nuts to attach the bezel assembly to the LCD monitor.
- Remove the protective cover from the monitor.
- Install the monitor — install the top nuts first.
- Connect the LCD power cable and data cable.
2. Power on & autotune
- Set the main circuit breaker to ON and push [POWER ON].
- The LCD is pre-programmed for the best resolution. If no image appears, press [CURNT COMDS] on the keypad, then press the [AUTO] button at the upper rear of the monitor bracket to autotune the display.
- If text is cut off at the edge of the screen on any page, perform the autotune on that page.
- Cycle the power. Install the pendant cover, then refit the notepad bracket and other side brackets.
