Description
The Siemens SINUMERIK 840D/DE NCU 571.4 (6FC5357-0BB14-0AA0) is the numerical control unit of a SINUMERIK 840D / 840DE system — the module that runs the NC kernel, the integrated PLC and axis interpolation. It plugs into the NCU box alongside the SIMODRIVE 611D drive rack. The NCU 571.4 is the entry-level powerline NCU with a 400 MHz processor and 64 MB memory, supplied without system software (the NC software is loaded on a separate PCMCIA card). At JJ Automation it is available new and as tested used / refurbished — checked before dispatch and backed by warranty.
When to replace
Control not booting, watchdog or NCK system alarms, corrupted SRAM data, repeated battery-backup failures, or physical damage after a power event.
